Akbar Tanjung, the chairman of the Honorary Council of the Golkar Party's DPP, acknowledged that he is in favor of DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan's bid for the presidency (Capres) in the 2024 general election.
At the inauguration of the Tritura 66 Monument, which was moved to Menteng Park in Central Jakarta on Wednesday (5/10), Akbar said, "That's why I also wear a yellow shirt, since I also support him (Anies Baswedan) as a presidential candidate.
Anies Baswedan was also there when the memorial was unveiled.
Akbar expressed his pride in Anies for running for president in 2024. He believed Anies had a very good chance of becoming president in 2024.

Because of his academic background, Akbar also hailed Anies as a knowledgeable person. The former DPR chairman lauded Anies for having insightful views on Indonesia's future growth.
To cheers, Akbar remarked, "Exactly he became governor and even more accurately he became president."
On the other hand, Akbar was grateful to Anies for moving the Tritura 66 Monument from the Kuningan neighborhood of Jalan Rasuna Said to Menteng Park. He also recalls the monument's 163 names of the 66 exponents who have passed away.
"I'd like to take this opportunity to ask everyone to please pray that all 163 of Exponent 66's fellow combatants—a total of 163 individuals—have passed away. Therefore, we all pray for them to be given a higher position on Allah's side "Akbar.
Fahira Idris, a DPD member from DKI Jakarta, acknowledged there that he would watch over Anies till 2024.
"I offer up a prayer for Mr. Anies so that Allah will grant him all of his wishes, Pak Anies. I'm here with my spouse, and Bang Japar members and my mother, Yenny Fatmawati, are prepared to accompany Mr. Anies till 2024 "Fahira remarked.
